Do you have problems with having a bladder that is overactive? Do you find yourself often getting up for visits to the toilet? Have you tried to do other things to stop these excursions to the bathroom? Most people believe that any sort of bladder activity happens because of the amount of liquid we take in. This is what makes more and more people unintentionally dehydrate themselves when they're trying to calm down their bladder activities.
Would you believe us if we explained to you that it is equally possible that the things you eat could also be causing you to make these frequent potty breaks? The simple fact of the matter is that those number one toilet breaks are simply a way for your body to relieve waste. The waste accumulates equally from fluid and solid intakes. The waste you get rid of could be from stuff that are each liquid and solid--it doesn't matter what form it is in when you eat or drink it.
Vitamin C is very important for fighting off an infection but it can also be a major factor in irritating your bladder. This is mostly due to the fact that many citrus fruits are made up of acid and that is why they need to be avoided both as solids and as juices. Oranges, tangerines, lemons, grapefruits as well as limes, in particular are major culprits of this as is pineapple even though it is technically not a citrus fruit. To get your Vitamin C dose every day, eat fruits like apples, pears, bananas and berries.
Try not to cry over this too much but if you have an overactive bladder, you should steer clear of eating too much chocolate. Caffeine is in chocolate. Your bladder doesn't like it very much if you ingest caffeine and it will send you to the bathroom quite a lot when you take in lots of it. This is just as true with regard to caffeinated beverages. When you make numerous excursions to the toilet during the day try to lower your caffeine intake. Choose dark chocolate and decaffeinated liquids as a substitute.
Foods which have substantial levels of spiciness can also be greatly irritating to your bladder. This is going to be troubling for those who like spicy foods but it is important, if you dont want to spend your evenings running to the bathroom, to avoid foods like super spicy nachos, wasabi sauce, etc. If the food makes your nose and eyes run it is gonna make other regions of your body run as well. The fix is straightforward: choose foods that aren't as spicy--this way you will get similar good tastes without irritating your bladder.
We tend to believe that if it comes out of our system in liquid form then it must have gone into our bodies in liquid form. This is absolutely not the case. What our bodies excrete is the leftover bits of what we have eaten and drunk that our bodies are unable to use or store so it gets rid of them in whatever way is the easiest and most convenient.
